| In
1990, Capitol Records released A Proud Canadian, a new album from
Canada's very own Stompin' Tom Connors. In a campaign that included
an upcoming album tour that took Tom from coast to coast, Capitol
commissioned the painting of a huge mural. Deriving narrative
imagery from his exhaustive play list of recorded hits, artist
Bill Wrigley executed a colorfully animated design that created
an almost super-heroic view of this uniquely talented and charming
entertainer, loved for generations by fans of all ages. The Mural
remained visible for 10 years until the building was razed in
2000. |
