The
1967 Ranchero ushered in the return to the mid sized Fairlane
body style, the first since 1959. For seven years in between,
Rancheros used the popular and compact Falcon chassis. This was
a well received model due to it's attractive features like vertical
headlights and clean, smooth lines in the sheet metal. It was
virtually identical to a Fairlane. With an optional 390 cid engine
and 4V carb that boosted the power to a hefty 315 bhp, Rancheros
earned at last the status of 'muscle car'. |
