Pontiac's Astro-Flash engine

The renowned Chevrolet Small Block engine was designed by GM engineer Ed Cole and introduced in 1955. Coveted and preferred by oval track racers and hot rodders everywhere, it is still being used in Chevys and is unquestionably the most popular engine ever made in automotive history. The SBC was used in all Canadian and Australian Pontiacs from the late fifties and throughout the sixties.
